Morning Walks

Try to fight the feeling. Going along roads, walking outside. Breaking lines. Taking turns. Buying croissants.

The baked good is fundamental for a sense of belonging. The neighborhood's nearest croissant is a delineation of your habitat. You exist in it but also outside of it.

Bricolage

Connecting systems and creating them. The engineer-artist thing. When you need to, you have a trick. You experience different stages of the coming-together of material-energetic-agentic stuff.

What is this disposition with which conceptual undertaking takes literal form? Aesthetics as bundles of meaning-making through physical encounters.

But mental encounters are material too—brain cells move, energetic activity within mental capacity. Our thoughts don't affect reality directly. But the existence of reality is a construct in our minds.

The Dialectic of World and Thought

This dialectic is intriguing around art-making. The relation between thought and thing is complex.

Composing meaning-material-bundles is a way to designate storytelling to a particular artifact. That artifact can have different forms outside a standardized physical encounter.

You are encountering such an artifact now. Text is material. These words occupy storage, require energy to retrieve, travel through cables and air. The thought that produced them came from walking; now the thought walks into you.
